Card game in a back alley

Walking around downtown yesterday with a friend we came upon an interesting little alley.  The alley was full of antiques and small jewelry mostly made from jade.  I’m guessing that if you really knew your antiques you could walk away from this spot with something unique.  Even though the jewelry and antiques were the main attraction back here I found this card game to be the most interesting thing going on.  I’m not sure what they were playing, but they were very animated about throwing the cards on the table.  It looked like fun.

Ok. I thought I would try posting to our blog from the iPhone. It is not the most convenient but it works.

Honey Smacks!

While Laura made a couple trips back to the states this summer I stayed behind with the cats and my cereal fix.  One of the stores up the street that caters to Americans and their special dietary needs has a very small supply of cereals from the US.  Their supply changes once in a while so when I see the Honey Smacks I’m forced into buying them.  A little bowl of home, right here in Taipei.

Thankfully, Yamaha made the scooter seat just big enought to hold a box of Smacks.

It’s Been a Sloooooooow Summer

Laura went back to visit her grandma for a few days right after school got out and then we headed to Bali for a few days, other than that we haven’t been doing much of anything this summer so welcome to the world’s most boring blog.  It has been quite relaxing though.
