The Who?

Walking around on a wet Saturday night I saw this group of three enjoying some drinks and conversation under the cover of this local pub.  I really liked the poster of The Who on the wall and the general theme of the pub and wanted to capture that group in more of a candid scene, but they were way too happy to say “Hi!” and pose for a photo.  Taiwan is full of friendly people.

Here are the rest of the photos from Shimending tonight.

Traffic was a little tight at this intersection. Yes, I'm practically leaning up against the truck on my right.

Catching a meal dressed in white. I ate here a couple weeks ago. Parts of the meal were good.

Stepping off the bus. The bus or subway is the way to go here in Taipei, especially downtown. A car is too difficult downtown, a scooter is better, but the bus is best.

There's always road construction.

An artist at the night market.

Some girls happy to have their stuffed animals with them.

A beautiful building that hosts several artist studios.

Hello...

I had a tough time choosing today’s PAD.  Not because I had too many photos, in fact I think there were only two from the whole night that might be worth posting.  The reason it was tough was because I wasn’t sure if I liked this photo in color or B&W best.  As you can see here I ended up choosing the color photo, mostly because I liked the pink poles and this guy’s purple scarf.

Here’s a copy of the B&W version.  Which one do you like best?

I was taking a new camera out for a spin this weekend and got lost somewhere around Longshan temple.  When you have nowhere to be it’s fun to get lost.  I came across a few things I hadn’t seen before and ended up finding my way back home about two hours later.  Fun day.

This shot is not actually too far from home.

Laura and I on a small suspension bridge.

Laura and I joined some friends for a mid-afternoon walk in the mountains.  We headed to Buffalo Meadow, but ended up taking a detour.  The weather for the middle of December was surprisingly warm, but very beautiful.

Dead end?

There's a lot of geothermal activity in this area, but I'm not sure what's causing that small pool of water in the (in the center of the frame) to turn white.
